Darkêner - Undead Shadowpriest - Talnivarr [Accepted]

Postby Ahnkeg » Tue May 31, 2011 21:04

Hello Madhouse,
I've spoken to Vaadwaur about my current situation of classes that i have to offer. The choice stands between my Spriest, which i've decided that i'll be applying as mainly, and my warlock. The choice is now yours which character you think sounds more suiting to your current needs.
I have no problem whatsoever to play either one of the chars, seeing as i love playing them both equally much.

Personal Information

Real Name: Andreas
Nationality: Swedish
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Occupation: Working, recent College graduate.

Character information

Character Name: Darkêner - Priest. Ahnkeg - warlock
Character Class: I'm currently playing warlock mainly. However since my priest was my former main in wotlk i felt like boosting it up to 85 a couple of days ago and so here I am. On my warlock i'm playing dps naturaly. Specc depends on the current need in the guild and what suits best for each boss. As Priest i've always prefered playing shadow. Have done so since tbc. I like the class even though it is more of a supportclass than anything. Glad though that Blizzard finally decided to boost their dps making them more competetive vs. other pure dps classes.(class you are playing and what role you prefer)
Character Spec: (spec and explain your talent choices) 10/0/31 The talents sort of speak for themselves. I've taken the most useful parts in the shadow tree. Same goes for the discipline talents. Its a pretty straight forward specc that suits raiding well. On my warlock i'm destruction + afflication. 3/7/31 is my talents as far goes for destruction. There is only one way to specc it, atleast if you know what your doing. Affliction - 31/7/3. Same here. If your playing Lifedrain instead of shadowbolt affliction there is only one specc according to me that works best.

Dual spec: Holy. Mostly specced it for insta queues in 5-mans
Playtime: (playtime on your main character) Got 185 days played on my priest. And 151 days played on my warlock.
Would you be willing to respec? (Yes / No)Respec options: Yes ofcourse. I'm always putting the neeeds of the guild in first hand.
What specs you can play well, how is your gear for them: Holy or disc are the only other options. I've got pretty descent healing gear aswell. its pretty much the same as my dps gear goes. Just swapping some pieces around. Played holy on and off through out my entire wow career aswell. As far as the warlock goes i have experience playing demo so that is no problem either.

Primary Profession 1: Jewelcrafting
Skill Level: Atm 500 on the priest. Power level it today. My lock has 512 in Jewelcrafting as main profession.

Primary Profession 2: Tailoring
Skill Level: 500, this goes for both the priest and the warlock.

If you are a dps applicant, give us an insight to how you would start a fight with your rotation, then leading in to your rinse and repeat one: I'll start of with my priests rotation:
SW:P > DP > VT > 1x Mindflay to get a couple of orbs up > Mindblast. I keep everything on cooldown (Mindblast + below 25% the same goes for SW:d) and refresh the dots right before they run out.

The priests: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/t ... ner/simple
Since the priest is pretty newly dinged its gear is improving drasticly and quickly. Through out the days i'll improve it as much as possible to suit your raiding situation as best as possible. Doing so through more BoE epics /valor point gear and ZA/ZG items.

Links to dps/healing logs: Dont have updated loggs since i havn't been raiding with a guild that takes loogs since early April: But here it goes: The warlock named darkener in the loggs is me: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/2wrw ... 082&e=5408

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/ibjl ... 788&e=3087
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/ibjl ... 67&e=10202

Dont have any loggs for the priest obviously since it dinged 85 like 4 days ago. Allthough i did pull out 19k dps in my 350ilvl gear today when i was doing BH. Doesn't say much, but still.

Screen shot of UI: Dont have a SS. Could get one if absolutely neccessary. Got a pretty straight forward standard interface with a couple of must have addons. Such as: DoT tracker addon. Deadly bossmods (or equalant) and last but not least Omen threat meter. Plus Recount, mostly for giggles :)

Technical equipment
Can your PC run WoW in a raid setting without performance problems? Yes, no problems whatsoever

Character history (EXPLAIN IN DETAIL) :
The priest has been my main anda char i've played thoughout my entire WoW career. The warlock came into the picture in late TBC where i played it a bit in BT+ Sunwell (shadowbolt spamm LOLOLOL)

What guilds you have been in?
Played in Lost Chapter ( at the time beeing it was located on EU - Earthern ring. (RP-realm i know) We cleared every instance, every boss upto and including the four horsemen. in Naxxramas 40. Started off playing in Sin Kul'tiras (these days dissbanded) playing my priest still. Started playing shadow pretty early as we noticed that they were pretty much a must have to susstain the healers mana. After a year or so (early BT/mh times) I Joined Loot ftw, these days world top 25 or so. Only stayed there for a month or two. They had already all content on farm and i started to miss progress to much to give it up. Especialy since i had only killed a handful of the bosses in BT/MH before i joined them. After that i got invited to Gravity (Twilights hammer) In which i stayed and progressed untile it dissbanded on m'uru Sunwell. The core, including me, rebuilt the guild taking some key-players from other well established guilds on the realm at that current times. We quickly rebolstered and fought our way up to muru within the first raid reset. We killed KJ before the big The big nerf of Sunwell came out. Which i'm proud and glad we did. in Wotlk i played in Epiphany (which was the new name of the regrouped old Gravity) Stayed in here untile Firefighter (mimiron HC) where i noticed i had started getting behind on exams and such in school. And so forth i had to reprioratise. Joined a more casual guild, swedish infact, callled Lamercrew. Also located on the realm Twilights hammer. I have played there ever since. Up untile 6-7 resets ago when we more or less dissbanded due to lack of ppl.
What were the reasons for leaving them? Lost Chapter lost most of its core and so i decided to join Sin which was on paper promising and so it was untile mid BT/MH where they stopped raiding entirely. The rest of the reasons are stated above.
What instances have you cleared, which bosses? I have cleared every single boss Pre cata when it was out and fresh. exceptions are Saphiron and Kel'thuzad on lvl 60. So far in cata i've cleared 12/12 on normal. and taken 3/13 on HM. Gotten Magmaw and Maloriak to below 20% both of the bosses. So they more or less counts as kills aswell (haha) ;)

Additional Questions
Have you played other MMOs in the past? (If yes which ones)

I've played all of Blizzards games. Mostly starcraft and Diablo however.
What interested you in our guild?
(If you have a friend in the guild, say so here.)

I got headhunted (haha) no but one of trials Birthcontrol told me to apply. And after doing some research i thought u sounded perfect for my situation i am in now with work and all. 4 days a week is perfect. But still keeping a good and steady pace when it comes to progress.
What can you bring to the guild?
i.e. experience, leadership, Chuck Norris jokes, etc.

I'm a very focused and dedicated player. I always come motivated and prepaired to raids with a positiv raidspirit. Outside of raids and during farm raids i tend to join in in discussions and joke telling.
Do you understand the concept of SARCASM?

I am the master of Sarcasm :)! So the answer is yes.
What do you expect from Madhouse?

A stable and friendly raidenvironment With (i hope) a lot of friendly players that are quick learners when it comes to encounters and abilities.
Can you assure that you can play 4 days every week?
Raiding times are Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday 19:15-23:00

Yes unless something really really important comes up it shouldn't be a problem.

Why do you play WoW?

To have fun. Fun for me is a stable raid guild that has a good and steady progress. Doing so with friendly ppl only makes it perfect.
What do you want to achieve?

My Goal with the game has always, and always will be, to clear all ingame content.
Can you paindt?

Say woot? Oh yea, i have insane paint skillz.
Can you farm/obtain enough gold to have enough for repair bills, maximum consumables and best possible enchants and gems for your raiding gear?
No problems at all.
Have you applied to other guilds so far,if so why were you denied and why were we your choice now instead of the first?
No others
Can you fluently communicate on Ventrilo, socialise with other people?
Yes and Yes.

Btw. Any guilds i might be in is only as Friend status, i'm not raiding with anyone activly atm.

Last but not least i want to thank you for taking your time reading through my application.

Hope to hear from you soon!
